Long time no post
I’ve been knitting a lot lately, but took a break and decided to see Xanga… I’ve been on Facebook more, but not even on that very much these days.
Not much has happened, and yet some things are different (Mila is 18 months old now and walks, signs and talks, and of course still loves music and even dances as she walks), and some are the same (still teaching, and thanks be to God, I have tenure at my school now).
This Christmas, listening to the words of the carols (especially verses after the first ones), it hit me more than ever, what a miraculous weaving together of events and fulfilled prophecies occurred at the birth of our Lord, and how Christ’s coming as a human to die for us was planned since before creation, are all just an amazing testimony of His love for us even before we were born, before we ever heard His name.
The deaf children in our congregation were in our Christmas pageant this year, so I got to interpret for them and their (deaf) parents at rehearsals and performance. This also made the story of His birth more poignant to me.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and that 2010 will be a blessed year.
God bless you all, I do still read your posts and comment, and pray for you.
Love in Him,
Gerrie

Tenure! Amen! What a great thing. Good for you! Always glad to hear from you, Gerrie, and thanks for the prayers.
It was really nice reading your post! Happy New Year!
wondered if you were still around on either one. Have a good day.
Hey Gerrie..
Been awhile.. so sorry, but time seems to slip by so fast these days.. to fast in fact. Great to hear you are doing well and that things are more stable for you at school. We continue to lift you in our prayers, and know that God does indeed have a plan for your life.
BTW.. I put a video on my FB of my niece doing ASL to a great song…. if you have a chance to check it out, let me know what you think.
Blessings to you for a very wonderful and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Phil
Good to see you here, Gerrie. I know that you are on FB more now. I haven’t been on either FB or Xanga as much until Christmas Break. I’m trying to get caught up on corresponding with all of my friends via FB, Xanga, e-mail, U.S. mail, etc. PTL for the tenure!
My student is being taught signing — and each week she teaches me a word or phrase. Sometimes she teaches me how to teach my Wednesday night students’ Bible memory verse in sign.
Praying all is well …. HUGS AND BLESSINGS IN THE COMING NEW YEAR!! ~ Love, Carolyn
I am praying your year is blessed. I have been busy typing a book, and it is coming along well, but then I have to give less time to Xanga.
