Month: December 2009

  • Long time no post

I’ve been knitting a lot lately, but took a break and decided to see Xanga… I’ve been on Facebook more, but not even on that very much these days.

Not much has happened, and yet some things are different (Mila is 18 months old now and walks, signs and talks, and of course still loves music and even dances as she walks), and some are the same (still teaching, and thanks be to God, I have tenure at my school now).

This Christmas, listening to the words of the carols (especially verses after the first ones), it hit me more than ever, what a miraculous weaving together of events and fulfilled prophecies occurred at the birth of our Lord, and how Christ’s coming as a human to die for us was planned since before creation, are all just an amazing testimony of His love for us even before we were born, before we ever heard His name.

The deaf children in our congregation were in our Christmas pageant this year, so I got to interpret for them and their (deaf) parents at rehearsals and performance.  This also made the story of His birth more poignant to me.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and that 2010 will be a blessed year.

God bless you all, I do still read your posts and comment, and pray for you.

    Love in Him,
    Gerrie
