Long weekend:)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my son and daughter-in-law’s house, only 4 blocks from where I live:) There were 12 of us: my three children and their spouses, my daughter-in-law’s mother and her fiance, my daughter-in-law’s father, and my two grandsons (they’re 7). Later my daughter-in-law’s sister and her boyfriend stopped in for dessert. The kids played, the little doggies ran around, my oldest son’s wife and I talked about pregnancy and birth (she’s due next month), and we all just relaxed.
Today I went to see the movie August Rush. It’s a very good movie about the bond of love and music affecting people in the deepest way and bringing them together, and the faith of one 11 year old boy. Last week I saw Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium… I loved it even more. it’s a little silly BUT has a wonderful underlying message of faith and love (and the main character even talks of those two qualities).
Tomorrow after church I’m taking one of my grandsons to see the movie Enchanted (I let him choose between that and Bee Movie).
I’ve decided to read Psalm 37:4 and claim the promise in it every day, and to trust God to fulfill it.
I have to finish doing my grades for school and work on my college class.. back to school on Monday:)
Just ordinary stuff going on!
Love to all,
Gerrie

please know that your “ordinary ” stuff is awesome! thanks for loving goodness!
ordinary stuff is good. Glad you’re enjoying time together with family and friends. Sounds like you’re having a busy movie-watching stretch. We love movies as a family. Watched a bunch over the past week with my college-age son, Nate, home. Great fun.
Hi Gerrie,
I love the ordinary life. I am also a movie lover and would have loved to hit some of these movie with you. I want to see Enchanted really bad but no one else is excited about it as I am. We usually wait until things come out on DVD before we watch them. The movie critic on our news channel gave it a homerun. If you get the chance rent The Ultimate Gift it is a great movie. Have a great Sunday and glad that you had such a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Love ya, Darlena
Hi Gerrie! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving Day! Its fun to watch everyone, doing their own thing with each other. We had a great day too! Sounds like your enjoying the movies lately!
Have a good week!
I am glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, me too. All kids were home and accounted for.

Hey, Gerrie…glad you had a happy Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends. I know your grandchildren LOVE their grandma! And you’ll have a new little one soon – what a blessing!
Hey Sis…
Thanks for sharing the note with me about all that is going on… you have been and will remain in our prayers. God has a purpose and a plan, and even when we do not know what it is, we can rest assured that it is for our best, even when things don’t work out they way we think they should.
Right now… it is a little close to 4 in the morning here at Walter Reed Army Hospital and I along with several of my Chaplain Candidates are “on-call” for several more hours. I will then get a few hours of sleep before reporting to Andrews Air Force Base where I will board a Galaxy C-17 Transport to accompany several Soldiers back to their home bases, etc and make sure they have the necessary spiritual support they will need for their on-going recovery.
Thanks for your friendship Gerrie.. and I want you to know that even while I have not been able to comment back as often as I would like, you are not being ignored or forgotten (of course I know you know that, but I wanted to say it)…. you are appreciated very much and I am glad to have such a wonderful friend like you.
In His Grip,
Phil
